The "Hamro Bahini" project is a transformative initiative aimed at bridging the gap in Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) literacy among adolescents in Nepal. By training SRHR Champions from fields such as medicine, law, and development studies, the project creates a robust support system to educate and empower young people on SRHR issues. These champions undergo extensive training before being deployed to schools where they conduct thematic training sessions using case studies. The project also includes community immersion, data collection, and the publication of educational materials, culminating in a dedicated SRHR website and a concluding conference.

The project's impact is significant, with participants like Anju, a 16-year-old who gained the courage and knowledge to discuss SRHR openly, and Mili, a medical student who found the training empowering and eye-opening. Success is measured through various metrics, including the number of trained SRHR Champions, engagement in educational sessions, data on SRHR awareness and behaviors, and qualitative feedback. Expanding beyond Nepal, the project has grown through a grant by the US Department of State, adapting the model to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Kazakhstan, focusing on localized SRHR education and awareness campaigns.
